Hi:) Recently I gave presentation about beer at class. so this time I would like to share some findings that I researched for presentation with my blog readers!!
The information about beer that I found is japan's culture with beer and present way of drinking beer.
The first time that Japanese people drank beer was 1724. Merchant ship mission came to Edo and offered beer. In 1869, a German man built brewery at Yokohama, Yamate. At that time, beer was started to be made in earnest in Japan finally. At first, beer was sold mostly for foreigner residents, so beer was thought as high-class sake and was very expensive. After the war, gradually beer was getting popular among ordinary people. They began to drink it as Banshaku.
Next, I would like to tell you about the low of drinking in Japan. In 1922, Act for Prohibiting Minors from Drinking was issued. It is the low that people under twenty years old age are banned to drink alcohol. In addition, beer was defined the percentage of alcohol is under 20 in Japanese low. This low was set in order to clarify the difference between beer and not beer alcohol.
These days, most Japanese people, especially office worker, drink beer after they finish work. They usually say "とりあえず生", which means "anyway first let's drink beer.", when they go to Izakaya. There are five popular beer brand in Japan, KIRIN, ASAHI, SANTORY, SAPPORO and EBISU.
Non-alcohol beer is very popular in Japan now. All of these five companies produce non-alcohol beer. It is beneficial for people who drive a car or are stopped to drink alcohol because of sick.
Anyway I can say....
Beer is loved around the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!
