On December 26th, I went to an
American family restaurant, called the Cheesecake factory, located in Hawaii
with my best friend. The restaurant is very famous among tourists, so we planed to have dinner at the restaurant before going travel to Hawaii. The cheesecake factory is known as
wide-ranging cheesecakes, but also offers pastas, hamburgers, salads and so on.
The entrance of the restaurant
When we entered the restaurant, there were
very crowded because there were people who were lining to take out cheesecake
as well as people who were waiting to be seated. In front of the door there were
about four to five waitresses at counter. They were all wearing black dress,
which looked clean. Even though it seemed there were many people waiting, we waited for only 10 minutes to be seated. I think that is because waitresses guide customers effectively.

After we were seated, a server came to our
table soon. We had already decided what we were going to have, so we could
order soon after we got seated.
We didn’t order any special drinks, but
instead server gave us glass of water.
One problem is that salad, pasta and bread
came nearly same time, so we couldn’t eat salad as appetizer. And also, all of
the dishes could not be put on the table because of the size of the table. In
addition, we ordered nachos without jalapeño, green onion and coriander.
However, server took our order differently, we were served nachos with
jalapeno, green onion and coriander first, then we told them its not ours. 7
minutes after we server first, nachos finally came, and manager apologized us.
It was polite.
The server checked back two times, after we were
served all dishes and when we were about to finish meals. The last time he
checked was he asked us to be ready to have dessert, which was very helpful for
us because we were still eating nachos.
The most – when the pasta was served, the
server asked us if we wanted more Parmesan cheese. We said yes, he topped
cheese on the pasta as much we wanted.
The general manager came to our table and
apologized us that they took our order wrong and they served us different
nachos first. We didn’t care about the mistake so much, so I was impressed the
polite act.
Least - there were no wet towels at the table. I am
used to using wet towels at restaurant, so I felt inconvenient.
Next page I'm going to tell you about the dishes!!
